December 16, 2000 - Happy holidays, everyone! I hope
the season is going well for you so far. I just finished finals,
and I'm WAY too happy about it! I actually made it through the
semester, which I found rather impressive. ;-)
For updates this time, I've updated the love page (as usual). I
also developed a list of holiday
survival tips. I know the holidays can be a rough time, and
the last thing anyone needs is more reasons to stress! So check
them out, and let me know if you have any to add.
Please take special care of yourselves. More coming soon!
September 14, 2000 - It's been forever since I
updated! Unfortunately, there's not too much new stuff,
either. New "love your body" reasons, as well as my
letter for prevention posted in my corner.
I've been busy with starting class and a new job, and have basically
just been trying to hang in there. I've been better...but then,
I've been much, much worse, too!
Keep me posted on what you'd like to see here. I'm more than
open to suggestions, quotes, ideas, exercises, or even just the random
gripe. :-) Take care, everyone!
June 26, 2000 - Hmmm, what's new, what's new...
First of all, we've been accepted to the Phenomenal Women of the Web,
which is a real honor! Check out the webring, as well as some
other new rings we've joined, on the webrings
page.
I also added a reading list, at the
request of one of our visitors. And of course, more reasons to
love your body!! Keep them coming, everyone - it's so encouraging
to read everyone's submissions. Believe it or not, a bunch of work
has gone on with the site. Most of it has just been behind the
scenes, trying to clean things up and work out some kinks.
You might have noticed that, throughout the site, I refer to it as
"our site" and "us." No, I don't have a little
bunch of benevolent gnomes helping me run the site, nor am I speaking in
the royal we! Rather, I consider this site to be a work in
progress, composed of my efforts as well as those of anyone who
visits. This site wouldn't be possible without your input.

May 29, 2000 - I'm thinking of trying to redesign the
site. What do y'all think? Email me and let me know!
As far as this set of updates, there's a few. I've added
a poll, which I'll try to change every month, if not more often. I've added two new poems and some more of my story.
There are also new reasons to love your body!!
May 9, 2000 - Well, most importantly, I've changed the
site name! No specific reason; I just like it better.
:-) I've also added the quote of the day. You can add your
own quotes, too! And, we have lots more reasons to love your
body! Follow the links through the "Things to Try"
section. I put up my letter for prevention as well. Check it
out in My Corner.
Things have been nice and crazy around here, as usual. I
finished up work last week, and spent the weekend on a FABULOUS
retreat. I'm getting ready to move back to Alabama at the end of
this week, and I've barely started backing, so wish me luck!
Hopefully, I'll get to update again with more of my story before I
leave. Also, if anyone has any good "stuff" for me to
post, I'd love to add it! Just email me, anytime.
April 7, 2000 - Not too much updating this time! I
added a bit more to my story, as well as putting up some of my
so-called artwork. Oh, and I also added a pictures page!
It's all over in My Corner, if you want to take a look. There's
also a new reason to love your body - keep them coming!!
Hopefully, I'll be able to add some more SOON!
March 4, 2000 - Wow, I FINALLY got around to doing some
work around here!! ;-) I've added quite a bit of new
stuff, too. I started a section called My Corner, which will
hold my poetry and some not-so-artistic artwork. I also began
telling the story of my struggle with
eating disorders, self-injury, and depression. It's not finished
yet, but you can read what I have so far. Please though, if
you're easily triggered, be careful!
I also put up the section on meditation,
as well as one on deep relaxation.
Finally, in the Inspiring Stuff section, there's a beautiful piece
called "Please hear what I do not say."
I wish I could take credit for writing it, but I know I at least
identify with it.
That's about it for this time around! I'll be submitting
the site to some more webrings and search engines, so hopefully we'll
see some more traffic. Oh, and something kinda cool...my scale
is now living in my trunk!! I wasn't quite ready to get rid of
it completely, but it's a step in the right direction!!

February 2, 2000 - Lots of exciting news this time; at
least, I think so!! :-) We've broken the 100
visitors mark and been added to the awesome
Unbinding the Body Betrayed webring. We've also received our
first award!! You can find it and the new webring link at the
bottom of the page. Take a look at her
site, too - it's beautiful.
Other than that, the only new update is the Safe
Place exercise in the Things to Try section. The play is
coming SOON, so I've been working all day and rehearsing all
night!! When it's over, I should have more time to add new
stuff, so please bear with me!
January 28, 2000 - Well, not too much of an update this
time! I added a new exercise to the Things to Try section called
Touchstones. It should be a lot of
fun - at least, I enjoyed it! My life has been pretty hectic
lately, with play rehearsals and starting a new job. But I'm
enjoying it, so I suppose that's all that counts!
More to come soon...please send me any ideas you may have! I'm
also going to start submitting the site to some webrings and search
engines, so we'll hopefully get a bit more traffic. :-)
January 7, 2000 - This is the first of what will hopefully be many
updates to this site. I hope everyone made it through the
holidays in one piece! I managed to get down to Louisiana to see
my boyfriend over New Years, which was wonderful. Write and let
me know how yours went!
But back to the updates...I've added a new poem, which is still in
first draft form, but I had fun with it! I've also moved the
"Why Love Your Body" stuff into a new section called
"Things to Try." There are a couple of other
activities in that section as well, and I plan to add to it as I
go. Send me any
ideas you have, and I'll add them in! I'd also love to add a
section with your poetry, stories, essays, art, or anything else you'd
like to submit.
